Meet The Speaker

Terry Herring
Chief Commercial Officer, Synergistix

With more than 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Terry Herring currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at Synergistix, a technology and compliance company in the life sciences.

Terry began in his career in sales first at American Hospital and then Ciba-Geigy before transitioning to Solvay Pharmaceuticals and Noven Pharmaceuticals where he was involved with training, operations, sales leadership, marketing and general management.

He served as the President and CEO of Ventiv and COO of Inventiv Health as well as a Board member. Terry also joined Mission Pharmacal as the President of Commercial Operations.

More recently, Terry served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Marketing at DermaRite, as well as other engagements with Syneos Health and Heru Technologies.

In 2017, he was recognized by PharmaVOICE magazine as a Red Jacket honoree, the publication’s highest distinction for people in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, Herring had been named by the publication as one of the industy’s 100 Most Inspiring people in both 2007 and 2008.

In addition to his board leadership with CMR Institute, Herring serves on the board of directors for Bridging the Gap Africa, a nonprofit group that helps local communities in rural Kenya build life-saving footbridges across dangerous rivers to give residents safe access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. He is also on the board of directors for A New Equilibrium (ANE), the advisory board for BioAgilytix, and is a former Big Brother’s Big Sister’s Board Member (2007 honoree).

Herring graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in biology from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina. In addition, he attended Mercer University School of Engineering where he received a graduate certificate in project design and Duke University/London Business School where he earned a graduate certificate at the International Marketing Forum.
