Meet The Presenters

Jason Gaines, Vice President, Strategy & Business Development with Intermountain Healthcare

Jason is passionate about creating healthcare partnerships that address industry challenges in strategic, differentiated ways. While engaged in these efforts, he is always asking the question: “How is what we’re doing improving patient experience and outcomes?”

Jason’s work in Business Development, Strategy and Innovation has included delivering innovations in patient care, creating new points of access, market development, oversight for complex ambulatory organizations, driving cultural innovation, senior leadership of a 500+ bed metro hospital, physician joint ventures and pharmaceutical industry leadership.

Over his 20+ years in healthcare, Jason has held various leadership roles in healthcare delivery, impacting organizational performance, market strategy, growth and operations. Board responsibilities have included oversight of ambulatory surgery centers, joint ventures and community-based hospitals. These experiences have provided him with a thorough understanding of the needs of multiple healthcare constituents.

Eimear Kivlighn, Associate Director of Sales Training and Development, Novavax

Eimear Kivlighn was raised in Ireland where she received a BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology and a Master’s in Education. She spent several years as a high school math and science teacher before joining the pharmaceutical industry.

After 30 years at Merck (where she held a variety of roles in Sales, Sales Training and Sales Management as well as Marketing and Market Access) she joined Astra Zeneca’s oncology training department to lead the Market Access training.

She recently joined Novavax where she is responsible for supporting the training and development of all commercial teams. During the span of her career Eimear has worked in a wide variety of therapeutic areas including primary care, oncology, women’s health, and vaccines.

Troy Prehar, Senior Director, North American Sales Training and Enablement with Philips

Troy Prehar joined Philips in 2017 and currently leads the North American Sales Training and Enablement Team. In addition to these responsibilities, Troy leads numerous internal training initiatives to expand ‘value-based selling’ competencies and the functional application of healthcare economics to the sales process.

Troy is a 20-year veteran of the medical device industry having held multiple senior sales and marketing leadership roles with both large and start-up size companies (Genzyme, St. Jude Medical, Confluent Surgical).
