Why Are These Updates Important?

The CMS is introducing the Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM) as a successor to the Oncology Care Model (OCM) and the Oncology Care First Model (OCF). Slated to start July 1, 2023, the EOM is a 5-year program designed to improve care for beneficiaries and lower program costs. You can learn more about the EOM here. These 2 CMR resources have been updated to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of the OCM and OCF Model, to highlight the differences between the former oncology care models and the EOM, and to prepare life science professionals for the transition to the EOM during the 1-year gap between models.
