We are honored to have recently won the 4th Annual LTEN Excellence Award for Industry Partnership.
CMR Institute’s submission for recognition of excellence highlighted a partnership with Kowa Pharmaceuticals that achieved significant return on investment. The program created with Kowa addressed two critical challenges: how to develop a top-performing sales team and how to retain them.
The success of an impactful training program can be seen in sales performance and retention. We partnered with Kowa to create a multi-level career path program focused on role, tenure, sales performance and skill development.
A three-level training program was created based on Kowa’s competencies and desired outcomes. Together, we collaborated to provide continuous learning resources to support each program level and to establish formal data measurements to measure effectiveness. The 3-level training program consisted of the following:
Level 1—Foundational: Industry basics certificate to level-set and expose participants to key topics like managed markets, providers, the healthcare landscape, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and disease management.
Levels 2 & 3—Advanced: Includes mini-certificates and learning options based on identified competency gaps.
In addition to tracking participation and completion data, Kowa was able to correlate program participation with overall performance and sales. With a 10% decrease in turnover rate and a 20% increase in average sales rankings, CMR’s eLearning program addressed and exceeded the goals setby the training team sponsors.
We are honored to have been selected as a leader in our field for the Industry Partnership category. LTEN’s volunteer judges’ considerations included the creation of superior customized off-the-shelf learning content and work in support of an organization’s learning and development function.
