University of the Sciences in Philadelphia

An alliance between CMR Institute and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia provides CMR Institute students the unique opportunity to gain an exemption from up to 12 credits within the USP MBA in Pharmaceutical Business program, leaving only 24 remaining credits and just three separate weeks of residency for completion. The curriculum is provided via on-line asynchronous Web CT courses with some scheduled sessions.

For nearly two centuries, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia has held a distinguished reputation of educating students for successful and rewarding careers in the thriving pharmaceutical, science, and health care industries. Founded in 1821 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the first college of pharmacy in the United States, USP is where the founders of six of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world launched their futures.

MBA in Pharmaceutical Business
This MBA program at USP is designed for motivated individuals:

  • Intending to begin a career in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experienced healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals who aspire to senior-level pharmaceutical management positions

USP provides students with a solid foundation in business theory and practice, detailed knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, essential management skills and training, and superior analytical and presentation skills.

Program Enrollment Requirements

  • All applicants must complete at least 18 CMR Institute credits to include: The Managed Healthcare Market and Disease Management courses (3 credits each) and 12 CMR Institute credits in the Business in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management concentrations.
  • Upon enrollment, USP will advise students about requirements for graduation and assist in planning the master's level education.

In order to gain exemption from 12 credits within the USP MBA program, students must take very specific courses within the CMR Institute curriculum:
