CPM CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS







 

The path to a CPM® designation

Process:

  1. Enroll online using the electronic Application Form .
  2. Print the Recommendation Form, and ask your company advocate to complete and return this form directly to CMR Institute.
  3. Print, complete and return the Policies & Honor Code Form directly to CMR Institute.

To receive the CPM designation, candidates must complete 32 credits as follows:

Two foundation courses 6 credits
Pharmaceutical Management courses 23 credits
Elective course (choose one) 3 credits
Total credits to obtain certification 32 credits

The two foundation courses must be completed for a total of 6 credits. Candidates must take an additional 16 credits in Pharmaceutical Management courses, as well as 3 credits from a choice of two elective courses. The two remaining Certification in Pharmaceutical Management courses are Field Sales Management and The Capstone Course .

The Capstone Course is taken after all of the other required courses for Certification in Pharmaceutical Management have been completed. Like a final examination, The Capstone Course covers all of the courses taken in the program. It is designed to allow prospective candidates the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge provided by the management certification program curriculum to fictional situations that reflect real-life responsibilities of managers in the pharmaceutical industry.
