Registration Policies:

  • Courses can be completed in any order, but some are better taken as prerequisites for other courses. You may contact a CMR Institute Program Manager for advice at any time during your participation.
  • The Institute limits the number of courses one student may have "open" at any time to 4 courses, in an effort to keep course material up-to-date for our students and promote sucessful completion.
  • If a student does not successfully complete a course exam within one year from registration, the student will be dropped from the course. CMR Institute reminds students of course deadlines 6 and 3 months prior to expiration.
  • Some companies stipulate further limitations on their employees. Please contact your company for accurate information on the number of courses or exams sponsored at one time.

Advanced Placement:

Students who believe they are already qualified in a subject area may challenge a course by taking the exam without registering in that course.

  • AP exams will be allowed within the sponsoring company guidelines.
  • Students must notify CMR Institute a week before they intend to take the examination so that CMR Institute may make that student eligible for that exam.
  • No course materials are sent from CMR Institute to those who wish to take an advanced placement examination. Registering in a course and receiving the course materials will eliminate candidates from eligibility for advanced placement in that specific course.
  • Credits toward certification will be awarded for up to 3 courses in which the CMR Institute exam is passed.
  • Failure of an advanced placement examination is recorded on transcripts. If the AP exam is failed, the student must register in that course.
  • For a student who pays fees directly to the Institute, payment in full must be received prior to posting the exam to the website.

Payment Information:

All students should check with their company to determine the policy regarding payment of fees. Failure to pay the correct fees when due may result in delays. Returned Check Policy

  • There will be a $25 charge for each check returned unpaid by the bank for any reason. Students will not receive CMR Institute mailings until the balance is paid. Failure to pay the amount of the original unpaid check as well as the $25 charge (by cashier's check, money order, or credit card) within 30 days of notification may result in removal from the program.
  • If more than one check is returned unpaid by the bank for any reason, all future payments must be made by cashier's check, money order, or credit card.
