Nova Southeastern University Website An alliance between CMR Institute® and Nova Southeastern University provides CMR Institute students the unique opportunity to transfer up to 12 ACE recommended graduate-level credits from selected Business in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management courses from the CMR® Certification or Certification of Pharmaceutial Management® curriculum to an MBA at NSU, leaving only 31 credits to complete the program. The program is delivered online, requiring only a one week residency at NSU.

Nova Southeastern University is the largest independent institution of higher education in the Southeast, and it is the 8th largest independent institution nationally.

The Huizenga online M.B.A. programs have been in existence for nearly five years - making the H. Wayne Huizenga School one of the most experienced institutions in the delivery of graduate business education via the Internet. The programs provide the same quality curricula as traditional MBA programs, utilizing the latest interactive internet-based technologies to make them more accessible to a wider range of students. Class sizes are limited to ensure personal attention, utilizing self-hosted courses and custom-developed software.

The principle objective of NSU's MBA program is to change the way students think and work. There is a growing demand for highly-trained managers who can lead their orgranizations through today's volatile global business environment. Through NSU's MBA curriculum, students receive insights into their personal and professional development, and are provided with a comprehensive and advanced base of business skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Students completing a minimum of 18 CMR Institute credits may be eligible to advance to the NSU MBA Degree Program.

Program Enrollment Requirements

  • All applicants must complete at least 18 CMR Institute credits to include: The Managed Healthcare Market and Disease Management courses (3 credits each) and 12 CMR Institute credits in the Business in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management concentrations.
  • CMR Institute students must have and may transfer up to 12 completed ACE graduate-level credits from specific Business in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management courses for NSU enrollment.
  • Graduates of the CMR Institute Certification in Pharmaceutical Management (CPM) Program may enroll without further CMR Institute coursework provided that a minimum of 9 ACE graduate-level credits have been completed from the specific NSU course transfer list.
  • Upon enrollment, NSU will advise students about requirements for graduation and assist in planning the master's level education.

In 2006, the ACE recommended new credit for CMR Institute coursework. Courses completed and/or registered for prior to 9/2006 will have previous credit values recognized, provided the examination was not passed more than five years ago and provided that the examination was passed with an 80% or better score. After 9/2006, to obtain graduate credit, CMRI students must register in the graduate level version of the course (5000 level), complete the evaluative requirements and pass the final examination.
