29 CMR Institute Courses Earn Graduate Credit Recommendations
from American Council on Education (ACE)

Roanoke, VA – June 12, 2006 – Certified Medical Representative Institute® (CMR Institute), an independent educational organization dedicated to providing healthcare representatives and managers with continuing education, earned 63 graduate credit recommendations from the American Council on Education for 29 courses. The American Council on Education is the major coordinating body for continuing education and the nation's higher education institutions. To obtain a recommendation for graduate credit, ACE requires that comprehensive educational content, current and flexible technology and extraordinary student support be offered. “CMR Institute is constantly monitoring the marketplace and working with distinguished subject matter experts across the country to ensure that our courses meet the needs of the ever-changing healthcare industry,” said Michelle O’Connor, CMR, Vice President of Learning and Curriculum Solutions. “Part of our commitment to educational excellence is to have our courses rigorously reviewed by ACE experts to verify and validate the strength of the curriculum.”

The additional graduate credit recommendations provide students and graduates of CMR Institute expanded opportunities to earn credit toward a graduate degree from one of CMR Institute’s four prestigious university alliances: The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, NOVA Southeastern University, The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Virginia Tech. “We want to continuously demonstrate the quality and depth of CMR Institute’s educational resources to the healthcare companies and professionals using our products and services,” said James Dutton, CMR, President. “We are pleased that the American Council on Education recognized the educational value of our curriculum by awarding the 32 additional graduate credit recommendations.” At the last ACE review, 22 CMR Institute courses earned recommendations totaling 31 graduate level credit hours.

CMR Institute is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to advancing the healthcare industry through education and building a better understanding among professionals in the healthcare industry to ultimately improve patient healthcare. CMR Institute currently provides education to over 13,000 professionals and has served over 100,000 individuals since 1966.
