Linda Stout, CMR:  Schwarz Pharma, Class of 2002

As she prepares for her new role of Regional Sales Trainer at Schwarz Pharma, Linda Stout reflects back on her previous experiences and the education she has received from CMR Institute. “The CMR Certification is one of my greatest accomplishments! I found it to be one of the most comprehensive programs I have ever been involved with. I have a nursing background, and I found the courses offered by CMR Institute to be up-to-date, relevant, and thought provoking.”

Linda, currently a Sr. Pharmaceutical Representative and field sales trainer, has had a great deal of education in the healthcare industry. A registered nurse, she graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri. She also holds a BA n Health Management from Ottawa University in Ottawa Kansas. Along with these degrees, she holds a Certified Diabetes Education Certificate.

Stout’s field experience is just as vast as her educational background. She received the Mary Reed Nursing Award at St. Luke’s Hospital for her work with diabetes education and in public education. While in Kansas City, Linda was a diabetes nurse clinician, and she and the endocrinologist at the practice she was employed with worked together to provide education for the public as well as their patients. She even developed the Diabetes Teaching Program at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Linda continues to take CMR courses each year and states, “I feel that the CMR Certification has helped me prepare for my new position as Regional Sales Trainer, and I am very grateful for the opportunity Schwarz Pharma gives its employees by providing the educational courses through CMR Institute.”

Congratulations Linda on your achievements!

Miguel Zepeda, CMR:  AstraZeneca, Class of 2005

Once told he didn’t have the experience necessary to break into the pharmaceutical industry, Miguel Zepeda, a professional sales representative from AstraZeneca, illustrates how perseverance really pays off. Zepeda did break through the experience barrier and in fact has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the pharmaceutical industry. While employed by Eisai, Zepeda was ranked #1 in the nation and now with AstraZeneca, he is back on top with a “great group of sales people from the McAllen Texas area”.

Miguel graduated from the University of Houston in 1992, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He uses communication skills gained during his 10 years experience in television and radio combined with his knowledge about the healthcare industry to achieve his goals. “I feel proud to have completed the CMR Certification Program.” says Zepeda. “I feel much better qualified to discuss some of the disease states that aren’t necessarily related to the products that I promote daily with Nexium and Seroquel. This is helpful, because we are learning more and more that so many of these diseases are linked in some way.”

Zepeda goes on to state that he feels “Certification has made him more knowledgeable about the various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, especially having taken courses like the 21st Century Physician and The Evolving Healthcare Community.”

CMR Institute congratulates Miguel on his perseverance and accomplishments!
